axevictim Fantastic new music from MaterialEyes. A collective mix of all things Prog. Each track is superbly produced and offers wonderful imaginative music. They just get better and better with every new release. Wonderful, highly recommend listening.

Alrihkh Truly an exceptional prog rock album. I would add prog-folk to the list of genres below, and Gordon Lightfoot to the already-mentioned comparable progenitors. I love the reflective, from-the-heart nature of many songs here; philosophical at times. I was reminded of ‘Epitaph’ by King Crimson at one point. Mostly, though, the vocals, insightful lyrics, & smooth, calming melodies bring classic Moody Blues to mind. It has my full recommendation. My utmost thanks to the band! 8+/10. Favorite track: I Have Loved The Stars Too Long.
Joseph Bagwell

Joseph Bagwell Some interesting songs which hark back to bands such as Camel, Wishbone Ash, Yes and The Moody Blues, recommend for fans of classic prog. Favorite track: Jerusalem Armageddon.
Nickie Harte Kelly

Nickie Harte Kelly Materialeyes latest release has all of the elements of classic prog. Sublime to pastoral with majestic, sweeping organ and asides of crisp guitar, which veers into several genres. The lyrics are thoughtful, the vocalist is showcased both in complex and stripped-down styles. “Jerusalem Armageddon,” and “No One Knows,” vie for favourite songs.
Favorite track: Jerusalem Armageddon.

artrockbands Wow! Just Wow! This is fab. The guy on Adrenaline High sounds like Jon Anderson. Love Fabulist and tbh all the tracks. But Jersualem Armageddon is epic. I played it 3 times in a row to make sure, and, yes, it's brilliant! Don't shoot me, but I prefer this to the version of Jerusalem by Emerson, Lake and Palmer. Well done guys! Favorite track: Jerusalem Armageddon.

Fabulist 12:05
The breath we breathe Has no fear The sad we feel Sheds no tear We all scream but no one hears We all scream but no one hears What's happening to the world? What's happening to my world? We're all living in fear We're all living in fear The dream will come and deliver the message War's begun, call to arms We're marching on The poet's breath, sounds the war cry The screams of glory cry for more Blood is spilt and love is lost The morning brings a hard frost Frozen breath rises from the horde They've gathered there for the show The cry goes out, the march begins The mighty crash, the flow of blood The tattered flags, one will fall And we'll count the cost of it all Nothing gained, nothing at all So why should the mighty fall? "Dream on my boys", the captain calls Dream on my boys, the mighty fall I walked the broken path The dust beneath my feet On a journey, I know not where The path will take me there And along the way I see many things And I wonder what they mean The poet's pen, the man of clay Will I find the right way? A dream spins the song for John Another life has been and gone The sky grows dark, I see the sea A mighty ship that waits for me I'll sail the sea, I know not where This storm tonight will take me there

Inspired by The Old Astronomer, a poem by Sarah Williams (1837-1868) On the threshold of each sunset At the gates of all it means Kissed by moonbeams of enchantment I wander into dreams For I have loved the stars too long To ever fear the night I have loved the evening song To crave the morning light In these heavens of enrapture Silver galleons sail the sky Silent worlds of distant wonder Smiling down on high For I have loved the stars too long To ever fear the night I have loved the evening song To crave the morning light For I have loved the stars too long To ever fear the night I have loved the evening song To crave the morning light (x2)

If there was never any sun And there was never any one Left alive, to survive When tomorrow comes around If there was only endless night No stars to cast their gentle light In this void, a world destroyed When tomorrow comes around If there were only poison seas And there were no more trees No grass to grow 'neath burning snow When tomorrow comes around If there was no more you or I As every living thing on earth must die In this cruel world of doom When tomorrow comes around When tomorrow comes around

No One Knows 07:12
I can sense you presence Softly fading light Were that you are calling In the stillness of the night When the clouds of evening fade And moonlight gently glows As to where you are, no one knows I can hear your footsteps Feel your movements near Knowing that your memory Will never disappear Even as the rain falls down And winter brings it's snows As to where you are, no one knows Silver shards of morning on my window pane Seen through waterfalls of endless days Thoughts of you still shelter in this heart of mine Burning sunlight burning through a haze I can see your shadow Turns my head around Calling all you moments Each and every sound Even as time fades away And a summer breeze now blows As to where you are, no one knows No one knows No one knows

What's your name? Are you now a number? If it's all the same It's plain to see The writing's on the wall It's plain to see The writing's on the wall In the street Every eye is watching As you drag your feet It's plain to see The writing's on the wall It's plain to see The writing's on the wall And when the snows are falling To cover the ground The air is filled with scarce a sound Long lost days of summer Are now only dreams Is this the end of all it seems? Of all it seems In the night It might seem quite different In the morning light It's plain to see The writing's on the wall It's plain to see The writing's on the wall

about

It's been a long year here at Materialeyes HQ. The coronavirus has prevented musicians from meeting up and doing what they love best - jamming, performing and recording music.
Many people have lost loved ones. This affected us personally when someone close to our hearts passed away quite recently.
In one way we were lucky in that we had recorded a good deal of our new album before we had to isolate.
There has had to be compromises made, however we are in agreement that this, our new album is our greatest achievement to date.

We're thrilled to bits to bring you Three of a Kind!

For Patti.

" glorious harmonic vocals adding oodles of charm and warmth. Each track in itself is a composite assembly of many symphonic segments all of which are saturated in a wash of beautifully melodic keyboard and guitar sequences. Every single track passes through its own journey of many delicate variations and little twists and turns of melodic complexity. Exhilarating deviations of guitar and keyboard interaction worked out with incredible delicacy and precision"
A really enjoyable album of interesting well-composed lengthy progressive music.
